Notarization
Wet Signature
Also called: Wet-Ink Signature
A signature made by hand in ink on a physical document, as opposed to an electronic signature.
What is a wet signature?
A wet signature is the traditional pen-on-paper signature. Some signers — and occasionally some counties or document types — still prefer or require it, even though electronic signatures are broadly valid under laws like ESIGN and UETA.
When a seller won’t use e-signature but will sign in person, capturing a wet signature is exactly what a mobile notary or signing concierge does. The signed paper can then be scanned, notarized, and, if needed, recorded.
Jurably supports both electronic and wet-signature paths depending on the signer and the document.
We handle the paperwork end-to-end — you never touch a courthouse.
